When I turned 30, a doctor told me I was developing cervical cancer. Don’t worry, I am fine now. But she also told me to switch to organic cotton tampons and pads, to avoid further irritation.
I had never really given much thought to what my tampons were made of. And when I tried to find out, I couldn’t. Most companies didn’t list the ingredients of their products on their pack.
As it turns out, there are no regulations on what materials can be used to make tampons or pads. I also discovered that not every product is made from healthy materials. Think plastics, chemicals, pesticides.
So we started Yoni. We make organic cotton tampons, pads and liners free from plastic, chemicals and shame. It’s our mission to bring women – and other people – in the know about all things vulva. Organic cotton is the vulva friendly choice.
